Stories from our Featured Farm

Other services explained: Farm Consulting including barn & fence design, pasture management, halter training, nutrition, birthing & breeding education. Fleece Seminars
How did you choose your Farm Name: We wanted a farm name that was unique, memorable, & reflected our location.
What makes your farm or herd unique and special: We manage our herd in small groups and handle them daily creating exceptionally friendly, social, and loving alpacas!
Tell us about your Favorite Alpaca: I seriously have too many to pick just one. I adore my herdsires...they hum to me while I work in the barn, I can recognize each of their hums. I become very attached to our show alpacas, since we travel together and truly become herdmates. Then I love my oldest dams that have been with me since the beginning of this journey!
Tell us about a funny experience: Some of my older herdisres enjoy having their bellies rubbed when they roll in fresh bedding!
Tell us one thing anyone interested in buying alpacas should know: They should try to avoid buying alpacas at the first farm that they visit. They should visit a minimum of 5 farms, rate each alpaca according to strengths and weaknesses, than make a decision.
Tell us what you wish you had known before you bought your alpacas: This really is a multi-faceted business. You must excel not just in alpaca care & training, but also marketing, sales, politics, and showing!
Tell us about an upcoming event at your farm: National Alpaca Farm Days is on September 25-26. You can visit participating farms free of charge. Learn about alpacas, the industry, their fiber, and buy alpaca products!
Tell us the future plans for your farm: To continue towards our goal to produce suri alpacas with exceptionally fine fleece, brilliant luster, and tight lock!
