Vinnie's 2018 histogram is back. At 9 years of age, still has 21.3 MFD, 3.8 SD CV of 17.7 and fibers greater than 30, 2.1%! Check it out!

Ventura, “aka Vinnie" is a medium fawn 8X Color & Reserve Color Champion. This is some of the finest, softest fiber you will find. The high frequency crimp and density is amazing. Vinnie is sired by Snowmass Millenium who is a 4Peruvian Legacy son and Millenium’s dam is a Hemingway daughter. Vinnie’s dam is an Elite Maximus daughter. She is bay black and V...

personality plus! w/ cria

OTRA Sydney

Huacaya, Female, Proven, Light Fawn, 3/4 Peruvian, 1/4 Chilean
ARI# 32694277 | DOB: 7/10/2013
Sydney is sired by ELK Titan Clash's American Bounty, a son of renowned MFI Peruvian Titan's Clash. She is a gorgeous light fawn and her fleece has a buttery, soft handle, with consistent and tight crimp style. Her fleece is on the shorter side (lacking length) and it loses character towards the shoulder and hips. She does, however, have a personality unlike any other! (No kidding there).

Sydney was shown at 2015 American Alpaca Showcase. 2nd in a class of 3 "light" 2 year old females....

Michelangelo's Awakening

Huacaya, Male, Proven, Dark Brown, 1/2 Peruvian, 1/2 Chilean
ARI# 32680997 | DOB: 8/10/2013
Awakening is co-owned with Brenda Weber of BlueRidge Alpaca Ranch outside of La Crosse, WI.

We are thrilled to have Michelangelo's Awakening. He is a show champion and an established sire of champion off-spring. Usually he produces the color of the dam, especially for grey (except for one in Aug. 2019 that is black out of a grey).

His 2019 crop of crias is looking outstanding - fine and dense. We have three (so far) in River Falls and BlueRidge currently has two or three. Come see ...

Vixen is the daughter of JLFA Millenium's Ventura ("Vinnie") who is a medium fawn 8X champion who produces champions. Vinnie has some of the finest, softest fiber you will find. The high frequency crimp and density is amazing. Vinnie took 2nd Get of Sire at the 2016 AOA Nationals and 1st at 2015 Wisconsin Alpaca & Fiber Fest, and 2015 MIAF, and 2015 AMerican Alpaca Showcase. For 2016, Vinnie was in the top 1% on 4 EPD categories: AFD, SF, SDAFD, and Medulated Fibers!

Through Vinnie, Vixen boasts powerful bloodlines including Snowmass Millenium, 4Peruvian Legacy, Hemingway (2x!), Elite Maximus, Accoyo Elite and 5Peruvian Valeroso.

Those bloodlines have given her long staple length and great density. Her (initially) light fawn blanket does lighten toward the belly, to the point that now she classifies as beige on her barrel, but a fawn dorsal stripe. She is large (wide), sturdy, with the build for a foundation dam, but has a short stature. At 7 months old at the American Alpaca Showcase and Illinois Show, she was larger than many yearlings being shown.

At WiAFF (April 2018), youngest in the class but the largest. Her blanket had started fading and she was classified as beige on the side, however fawn along the top line. Not good for consistency of color. Judge Peter Kennedy commented on the nice square conformation and the awesome staple length.

Fall 2018, although Vixen's fleece is still fine for her age, she has lost the bundling and consistency in the long staples, and has lightened even more. She is short and stocky (don't know where she got those features) compared to our other 2017 females.

Vixen has been bred to Michelangelo's Awakening for a June 2020 cria.
